Lucasfilm

Microsoft has announced the date for its upcoming gaming Indiana Jones Game showcase, the second installment of its Developer_Direct event. This event will delve into additional details about Avowed, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and the strategy title Ara: History Untold. Notably, MachineGames will finally unveil information about its Indiana Jones game, three years after the project’s initial announcement.

During this showcase, the Wolfenstein studio plans to share over 10 minutes of gameplay and insights from the developers. The presentation will include the debut of the first gameplay trailer, providing insights into the story and setting of the game. Additionally, viewers will gain an understanding of the control mechanisms governing the iconic archaeologist’s adventures.

Obsidian will showcase gameplay from the action RPG Avowed, scheduled for release on Xbox and PC this year, during the upcoming Developer_Direct event. Additionally, Oxide Games will present gameplay from Ara: History Untold, a Civilization-esque strategy title. Ninja Theory will offer a behind-the-scenes look at Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and there’s hope for a potential release date reveal, as the game is expected to launch this year.

Reflecting on the previous Developer_Direct event in January, Microsoft surprised gamers by both announcing and promptly releasing Hi-Fi Rush, one of the most highly-rated games of 2023. While there is anticipation for potential surprises this year, Microsoft has confirmed that there won’t be updates on Activision Blizzard games during the event. Updates from the recently acquired publisher are expected later in the year.

The Developer_Direct event is scheduled for January 18 at 3 PM ET and can be watched on Xbox’s and Bethesda’s social channels. Following that, at 4 PM ET, Elder Scrolls Online fans can tune in for a global reveal of what’s to come in the MMORPG’s next major chapter.
