Apple’s iPad Lineup for 2024: OLED iPad Pros and a 12.9-inch iPad Air

Apple

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is set to revamp its entire iPad lineup in 2024, commencing with the introduction of a new 12.9-inch iPad Air and the much-anticipated OLED iPad Pro. The updated iPad Air models are expected to debut early in the year, followed by the new iPad Pro models in the second quarter.

Kuo’s projections include the release of a 10.9-inch iPad Air and, for the first time, a 12.9-inch model. While the latter will adopt the Pro size, it is not likely to feature the Pro’s mini-LED display. However, Kuo notes that it will incorporate the oxide backplane, enhancing its performance compared to the smaller model. In the case of the new iPad Pro, Kuo suggests two upcoming M3 models that will forgo the mini-LED display in favor of OLED and incorporate the iPhone 15 Pro’s LTPO backplane.

Further upgrades are anticipated for the rest of the iPad lineup, with the 11th generation iPad and a new iPad mini expected to make their debut in the latter half of 2024. This marks over a year since Apple’s last release of a new iPad.
