Samsung’s Updated Freestyle Projector Opens for Pre-Order

Samsung

Samsung has opened pre-orders for its 2023 Freestyle projector, initially unveiled at CES. The next-generation Freestyle projector offers 1080p projections, turning any surface into a screen ranging from 30 to 100 inches. Its versatile cradle stand can pivot 180 degrees, ensuring optimal viewing angles, complemented by a 360-degree audio experience.

Designed for portability, this lightweight projector, under two pounds, is perfect for both indoor and outdoor settings. If you’re away from a power source, you can rely on portable batteries with USB PD and 60W/20V output or higher. Charging the SolarCell Remote is hassle-free, thanks to its built-in solar panel.

This isn’t just a projector; it’s a smart entertainment system. The Freestyle Gen 2 offers access to popular streaming apps, along with Samsung TV Plus service. Gaming enthusiasts can tap into the Samsung Gaming Hub, a gateway to streaming platforms like Xbox Game Pass, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna, and Utomik. Note that while accessing the hub is free, individual game streaming services may require subscriptions. Also, gamers need to connect their own Bluetooth controller as the projector doesn’t include one.

Priced at $800, the pre-order window will close on August 30th, just a day before its official release. Early adopters are in for a treat: a complimentary case with their purchase, if secured before the launch.
